Ready to Get HeatSmart?
With the endorsement of Mayor, Shari Cantor, and the Clean Energy Task Force, West Hartford has partnered with PACE to launch the HeartSmart West Hartford initiative.
HeatSmart West Hartford is an education and outreach program to help residents:
Save money with a basic energy audit
Heat and cool your home on one system that can save money and is better for the environment
Support clean, renewable energy efforts and contribute to West Hartford’s leadership in environmental stewardship and conservation
The Town of West Hartford is leading the way in the transition to clean, renewable energy. A proud silver-certified Sustainable CT community, we are continuing our path to sustainability by partnering with People’s Action for Clean Energy (PACE) to run a HeatSmart campaign. Over 30% of the energy consumed in the state is used to heat and cool buildings. We can all reduce our carbon footprint by making our homes as energy efficient as possible. Becoming a HeatSmart participant, whether you are a homeowner or renter, is a great first step. This education program will help you make informed choices when it comes to your home’s heating and cooling needs and also connect you with resources to improve the efficiency and comfort of your home. Together we can make a big difference.
Mayor Shari Cantor
Proud Supporter of HeatSmart Connecticut
The HeatSmart program connects home owners and renters with pre-selected Home Energy Solutions (HES) contractors and Heat Pump specialists that have agreed to help West Hartford conduct outreach and education. Residents are entirely free to work with other HES installers ( Call 1-877-WISE-USE / 1-877-947-3873) or to work with other HVAC professionals if they choose.
These selected professionals are working with West Hartford to improve building efficiency and heating and cooling options for residents.
The HeatSmart partners will help you navigate the State incentives program and understand the best heating, cooling, and efficiency options for your home. This ratepayer subsidized program is open to all Eversource and UI customers. The copay is just $50 or, if you’re income-eligible, the HES services are provided at no cost. For most customers, there are many attractive rebates available for those whose homes need deeper weatherization measures. For those in the income-eligible program whose homes require deeper measures (insulation, windows, etc.), these may be done at a greatly discounted price or at no cost.
There are many options to choose from when it comes to your home’s energy needs. As partners in the HeatSmart West Hartford program, I Heart My Home CT’s energy consultants are at the ready to help you make informed decisions at no cost to you. The I Heart My Home experts are unaffiliated with any vendors and will help you find the best solutions and incentives. Learn More About I Heart My Home

Its June and seems like an unlikely time to talk about something called a heat pump! But it is actually the perfect time to learn more. These devices can heat your home, dehumidify your home, and also cool it. In fact, they are the most efficient air conditioners on the market. This one-hour session is the perfect time to learn about the technology, and see how it can be a financial and comfort benefit for you. This program is part of the www.HeatSmartCT.org/WestHartford campaign which runs through 2022. In this session you’ll hear about the program, hear from heat pump experts, and learn about the program’s “energy concierge”- a personal consultant for energy choices. We look forward to seeing you!
